Tasty, Blackberry-like fruit is large, black and juicy. Comparable taste to Oscar. Approx 1" long fruit. Tends towards a semi-dwarf to 10-12' tall, or a good variety to trim as a bushy hedge. Some drought tolerance once established, but loves water.
About the "BUSH form" tree:
The Black Beauty Mulberry is a large delicious dark berry similar to Persian in taste. This cultivar is slower growing and easier to keep height and size down. They have been grown out into small multi-branched bushes which are perfect for shrub or landscape designs. Size of Maturity without pruning will be a 12+/- foot bush. With pruning, just about any height you wish.
This Multi-branched slower growing bush would be an ideal substitute for a Dwarf Mulberry bush which realistically gets over 12 feet when in ground anyway.
